Alexander Zverev Reaches Rome Quarterfinals
Top seed looking for first title of the season
German takes down Fritz in straight sets
Alexander Zverev moved one step closer to claiming his first title of the season Wednesday at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia, where he defeated Taylor Fritz 6-3, 6-4 in the third round.
Zverev, the top seed in Rome, is now 16-5 on the season and has reached the quarterfinals or better in four of his last five tournaments.
The German will next face either Karen Khachanov or Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals.
